On Saturday, October 19, many people related to science met in Antwerp to discuss current scientific issues and present the work of members of the different associations: CENL and CEBE.
From our association, CENL presented several oral presentations in different fields, such as immunology or 3D printing, at the hands of its partners. In just 3 minutes, our “CENLers” conquered the stage and made the event shine. But that was not all; two of our members and CENL board members, Anaïs and Davinia, won the best poster awards.
In the same way, we had the opportunity to listen to two round tables on two current topics, such as biotechnology and artificial intelligence, which had the presence of a person from each country (Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg). In the biotechnology talk, we learned a lot about the different areas in which biotechnology can be applied, and in the AI round table, it was clear that there is still a lot to discover in this world.
The event was an excellent time to talk to people you know and network and build bridges between people in the region with similar backgrounds and interests. An example of this was the presentation of a talent attraction program by the Galician Innovation agency, highlighting the commitment to attract people with excellent profiles.
At the end of the day, the whole team had the opportunity to go to a bar in the center of Antwerp to continue the meeting more relaxed. CENL also supported those who wanted to stay in a hotel near the center to continue with the event and enjoy the next day in a city as beautiful as Antwerp.
From CENL, we want to make this type of event known in collaboration with other associations, such as CEBE (Spanish Scientists in Belgium), with which another event will be held in 2026. We would like to thank CEBE for their dedication!
